Keeping Long Distance Relationships Alive in the craziness of postgrad school - a design thinking approach

Fixing Long Distance Relationships at Kellogg was one of my very first innovation projects.

Most of the couples at business school tend to be long distance - especially at the beginning. The student's pulling 90 hour weeks (which includes studying, classes, and socialising) and is probably in a different time zone. The spouse, on the other hand, is right where they were and are wondering where their SO has disappeared to.

The solution to problems that arose from these discrepancies were quite simple, really - it just took a ton of research and design thinking to get there! Shared calendars, a longer term view of events and deliverables and setting time aside for each other was some of the key solutions.
